Kineticist is a digital publication and community resource for pinball and physical gaming—arcade gaming, air hockey, skee-ball, retro gaming, and tabletop gaming.

The site launched in 2022 by Colin Alsheimer, a lifetime gamer and pinball enthusiast who wanted to apply his technology, marketing, and business expertise to the pinball community after witnessing its power to unite people positively.

Mission

We aim to make pinball and physical gaming more accessible and welcoming to mainstream audiences. Our goal is to elevate all industry participants—from players and creators to manufacturers and operators—in a fair, approachable, and fun manner.

The Problem

The pinball and physical gaming communities are vibrant yet fragmented, prolific but economically unsustainable, heavily documented but not always approachable, and often inaccessible to newcomers and underrepresented groups. For all the good presently in the community—and there’s a lot of it—we believe it can be dramatically amplified and improved upon.

We create engaging, informative content and resources using modern technologies and communication solutions. We build tools and platforms that highlight the best the community has to offer, making it easier for people to learn about pinball and physical gaming, discover their favorite creators, transact with quality businesses, and connect around shared passions.
