About

Inder (Industria Electromecánica de Recreativos S.A.) was a Madrid-based Spanish pinball manufacturer founded in the mid-1960s under Francisco Maestre that pioneered Spain’s entry into domestic pinball by producing early entirely Spanish-made machines and built a diverse catalog of electromechanical and later solid-state titles before closing in 1993. Known for standout titles like Miss Universo, Canasta 86, Flip-VI, Bushido, Mundial 90, Centaur, Lap By Lap, Super Bowling and many more, Inder earned a reputation for themed, sports-oriented and novelty machines and for experimenting with hybrid video integration—most notably the Flip-VI CRT backbox and joystick—which showcased its willingness to adopt emerging display and control technologies and helped define its distinctive place in Spanish and European pinball history. Today Inder machines—covering electromechanical, solid-state and hybrid designs—are sought-after by vintage pinball collectors and restorers, and occasional remakes and prototypes (such as Marsaplay’s New Canasta) reflect continued interest in preserving and reviving Inder’s innovative legacy in the classic pinball market.
