About
Petaco S.A., founded in Barcelona in the late 1960s, was a Spanish pinball manufacturer best known for colorful electromechanical pinball machines produced through the 1970s and into the early 1980s. Notable titles include Icarus, Comodin, Torpedo and Criterium 80, and Petaco machines remain sought-after by vintage pinball collectors and retro-arcade restorers for their distinctive artwork and reliable EM engineering. The company attempted a transition to solid-state technology but ceased production in the mid-1980s amid stiff international competition and the rise of video arcade games, leaving a legacy of Spanish-built machines prized in private collections and museums.
