About

George Gomez is a renowned figure in pinball and arcade gaming, celebrated for blending inventive mechanics with player-focused design. Beginning his career at Bally/Midway, he contributed to classics like Spy Hunter and Tron before transitioning to pinball in the early 1990s. At Williams, he tackled bold projects such as Corvette and Johnny Mnemonic, where he introduced groundbreaking features like the “Cyberglove.” His crowning achievement at Williams was Monster Bash (1998), one of the era’s most beloved titles, exemplifying his flair for smooth gameplay, humor, and thematic integration.

After co-developing the hybrid Pinball 2000 platform, Gomez moved on to leadership roles at Midway and later Stern Pinball. In his current position as Chief Creative Officer at Stern, he has overseen the evolution of pinball technology—advancing from dot-matrix displays to high-definition screens and online connectivity—while designing best-selling machines like The Lord of the RingsBatman 66, and Deadpool. Whether bridging analog with digital or fostering top-level talent, George Gomez stands as a key innovator whose influential career trajectory continues to shape the future of pinball.
