Motörhead

Motörhead, founded in 1975 by bassist and vocalist Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister, was a trailblazing force in heavy metal and rock music. With their raw, relentless sound, Motörhead blended the speed of punk rock with the aggression of heavy metal, creating a style that would lay the groundwork for thrash and speed metal. Their 1980 album Ace of Spades became an anthem of the genre, with its title track recognized as one of the greatest rock songs ever. Known for their high-octane performances, Lemmy's gravelly voice, and a "louder-than-everything-else" philosophy, Motörhead became synonymous with hard-living and an uncompromising attitude. Even after Lemmy's death in 2015, the band's influence remains pervasive, with their music continuing to inspire generations of rock and metal musicians.
