Data East released a Star Wars pinball machine in late 1992, with a production run of approximately 10,400 units. It’s based on the original Star Wars trilogy and was designed by John Borg, featuring artwork by Markus Rothkranz, programming by Neil Falconer and Lonnie D. Ropp, and music and sound by Brian L. Schmidt.
Distinctive physical elements include a rotating silver globe representing the Death Star, and a playful R2-D2 figure above the pop bumpers that moves up and down. The game also includes licensed voice and music cues from the films, along with a video mode and a dot-matrix display
