Starting at Data East in the early 1990s, Borg quickly made a name for himself with hits like Star Wars (1992) and Jurassic Park (1993), which introduced exciting mechanical toys and engaging gameplay. He continued pushing the boundaries at Sega Pinball with titles like Apollo 13 (featuring a record-breaking 13-ball multiball) and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, known for its interactive Frankenstein figure. When Stern Pinball emerged as the industry leader in the 2000s, Borg played a key role in its resurgence, designing fan-favorite games such as Iron Man, Tron: Legacy, The Walking Dead, and multiple rock-themed machines, including Metallica and Rush.

Borg’s design philosophy focuses on fast-flowing gameplay, deep yet approachable rules, and memorable playfield toys that keep players engaged. He is particularly known for his love of “bash toys”—interactive elements like the drooling zombie in The Walking Dead or the electrified Sparky toy in Metallica—which give his games a dynamic and immersive feel.
